Shawn has over 30 years of graphic design experience producing work for a variety of industries. She's also an expert social media creator, speaker, and trainer. She teaches social media strategy, Canva, and video production to professionals, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and creative leaders. Shawn has practiced her craft on both coasts, working as a creative director for a handful of ad agencies and the Old Sturbridge Village historical site in Western Massachusetts. There, she won three awards for her work from the New England Museum Association. She also served as a national judge for the American Advertising Awards for 11 years and received their Phoenix Chapter’s Art Director of the Year award. Always on the forefront of trends, Shawn says, “I’m in love with content creation and the ever-evolving array of technology we can use. I especially love how accessible technology has made design in recent years, making it easier than ever for small businesses to market themselves.” She firmly believes that design is for everyone — not just graphic designers. Shawn loves to garden, hike, and study Spanish when she's not teaching.
